The Forest Soils and Water Quality group at Oregon State University is led by Stephen Schoenholtz in the Department of Forest Engineering. The group's mission to is develop a general understanding of the interactions between forest management practices and water and soil quality.  We address basic questions such as: 

What are the effects of forest management practices on soil processes and properties? 

What are criteria and indicators of sustainable forest management relative to soil and water resources?
