Degree Sought:
MS Graduate in Sustainable Forest Management, 2018
Major Professor:
John Bailey
Personal Interests:

Kayla loves working with fire. She researches fire for her MS thesis on managing old ponderosa pine forests. She spends her summers on a type II USFS handcrew out of Burns, OR. She is very active with the OSU chapter and the National umbrella of the Student Association for Fire Ecology. She volunteers on prescribed fires with The Nature Conservancy several times during the school year. Some might say her life is “consumed” by fire. However, she also enjoys spending time with her dog, cooking, hiking, and reading a good book.
