Students on assistantships and fellowships must register
for 16 credit hours each term of the academic year (fall,
winter, and spring term). At least 4 of the 16 credit hours
must be project or thesis hours. In order to maintain an
assistantship through summer term a student must be registered
for 9 credit hours. If you registered for more than 16 credit
hours during the academic year (fall, winter, spring) or
more than 12 during the summer, these additional hours are
not included in tuition remission and you must cover the
cost of these additional hours yourself.
The University Financial Aid Office administers student loans, grants,
College Work-Study, and scholarship programs, including international
student tuition scholarships.
The Financial Aid Office also helps students find part-time employment.
